Pakistan Monument and Museum, Islamabad

   Pakistan Monument have been inaugarted by Ex. President General Pervez Musharraf on 24th of March 2007. Its construction started in 2004 and completed in 2007. Basically it is dedicated to all those Pakistani's who have struggled and sacrificed for the freedom in 1947 during the division of sub-continent.

The main theme of Pakistan monument is symbolically a blossoming flower with four petals. The motif actually represents the four provinces of Pakistan. From inside they are engraved with different historical buildings and other picturs depicting the freedom movement. These four petals are bend towards one point that is the crescent and star, depicts the firm resolution of the people of Pakistan towards one aim of unity.

Patriotism is inherent in human nature. No doubt whatever the political and social situation of a country we still found the people missing it who lives abroad. We can notice that how ever happy and prosperous our life may be in foreign countries, but we still continue to be haunted by the memories of our home land

There was a beautiful open area with gardens and Islamabad view point. It can be a nice point for evenings. A must visit place.

While the Pakistan Monumental Museum depicts the history of Pakistan, the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the vision of National poet Allama Iqbal. Photography was strictly forbidden inside the Museum.
