Khanpur lake and dam is located in Khanpur town, somewhere between Taxila and Haripur and can be easily sighted along the roadside. One of my favorite spot since ages. Since childhood I used to come here at weekends and enjoyed the serenity and vastness of the lake. In 90's it was not commercialized but now the whole belt along the lake was taken by different resorts and providing some of the best water sports facilities to adrenaline junkie. There are multiple resorts but I visited Mabali.  Mabali has very easy access especially if you coming from KPK or Islamabad. We used Hazara Expressway this time and exit from Haripur toll plaza, took right towards Khanpur. Last time I visited here from Taxila side. My this post is specifically about Nathiya gali hill station and Ayubia national park. However an overall it covers the Galyat Region  of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the neighboring Murree, Bhurban, Patriata that lies in Punjab. Actually this scenic strip extending both sides of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa-Punjab border, from Abbottabad to Murree. The stretch further goes connected to Thandiani Hill top located 25km from Abbottabad city.  NATHIYA GA LI  is accessible from both sides via Abbottabad and Murree and its located in center of Galiyat region. Due to it's higher altitude as comparison to other parts of Galyat it's cooler and pleasant.   THINGS TO DO IN NATHIYA GALI ➤ There are multiple hotels and cottages in nathiya gali that provides some wonderful scenic views. We stayed at one beautiful cottage " HIDDEN HEAVEN COTTAGE" I personally prefer cottages to stay.  ➤ There are some good cafes to check out. Staying at hidden heaven cottage has been my best experience in nathiya gali, located at just 10 to 15 minutes drive from pipeline track, it becomes one of my favorite place. easily accessible both from Murree and Abbottabad.  Check my Youtube shorts here . Reasons to choose @hidden heaven cottage nathiya gali. 1   Its  Perfect holiday cottage if you are travelling with family/ group of friends especially If you are looking for peace, privacy and wonderful views then you must come here. 2  You can easily move to explore the surroundings and come back like a home. I did Ayubia Pipeline track and Motto Tunnel.  3  It can be economical here as compared to hotel room/ suite stay. Because if you are bringing a group of 6 friends/family members you can split the cost. 4   Another benefit of staying here is being able to cook yourself as well. It's also known as Dunga Gali pipeline trek, located just 10 min drive from nathiya gali. Over all this forest trail is located in Ayubia National Park, starting from Dunga gali and end at Ayubia or vice versa. You can start from whatever the side. If you want to start from Ayubia then there is a downside hike of 10 minutes near market towards the trail. On left side you will find motto tunnel.  So you can cover both places. Both are so easy and doable for any age group.  HISTORICAL BACKGROUD: Ayubia moto tunnel was made by the Britishers in 1891. There is a water pipeline that runs through the tunnel and it's a part of the longer pipeline track which runs through Ayubia National Park. The stone work is original and the tunnel is lit properly to get inside. This whole track is flat because this area was specifically made to transport water through a pipe to nearby areas. So it's best for walking in nature.  British era tunnel in Ayubia known as "Moto Tunnel"

A very scenic golf course and very well maintained area by Pakistan army in bhurban. I personally like the place because here you can do a mini trek in the jungle, play golf and have lunch and tea as well. They have a restaurant and a tuck shop. Their golf instructors are very nice and take some charges for giving you golf instructions, If you're a newbie like me still you may learn the golf and play in this scenic background. Such a peaceful place. Mostly for army personnel and families but you can go and learn golf.  Bhurban is very calm area and have many things to do in itself. Here you may find many hotels, cottages or portions for your vacations. Apart from that the famous PC hotel also located here. Chinar golf course is really interesting and scenic place to visit. 

Babusar pass is one of the beautiful mountain pass in Asia and highest point in Kaghan Valley, Pakistan that can be crossed in vehicles through a well carpeted road. It located mid way from Naran towards Gilgit baltistan and hunza. It connects to Karakoram Highways near Chilas. Probably one of the finest and most panoramic drive but unfortunately once you arrived at the top there is a mess of shops and no proper cleanliness.  Check naran post here  Things to do in naran Do watch a complete video of this panoramic drive here  Naran to Babusar top.  

Saiful Malook lake is located near naran valley and accessible via rough jeep ride. I Won't Recommend to the people who don't feel comfortable with bumpy jumpy jeep rides or with some backbone issues. Personally I didn't like the ride however it is one of the most visited lake in Pakistan and very famous among tourist. I felt awkward to see the crowd of people and not so well managed and lack of cleanliness ruining natural beauty.  Saiful Malook lake is considered as one of the most mesmerizing lake in the world that has left many travelers speechless. No doubt it looks beautiful through a specific lens otherwise you may find such stuff in abundance that is ruining the natural beauty.  Check here for Naran complete post  Things to do in naran.
