Khanpur lake and dam is located in Khanpur town, somewhere between Taxila and Haripur and can be easily sighted along the roadside. One of my favorite spot since ages. Since childhood I used to come here at weekends and enjoyed the serenity and vastness of the lake. In 90's it was not commercialized but now the whole belt along the lake was taken by different resorts and providing some of the best water sports facilities to adrenaline junkie. There are multiple resorts but I visited Mabali.  Mabali has very easy access especially if you coming from KPK or Islamabad. We used Hazara Expressway this time and exit from Haripur toll plaza, took right towards Khanpur. Last time I visited here from Taxila side. Saiful Malook lake is located near naran valley and accessible via rough jeep ride. I Won't Recommend to the people who don't feel comfortable with bumpy jumpy jeep rides or with some backbone issues. Personally I didn't like the ride however it is one of the most visited lake in Pakistan and very famous among tourist. I felt awkward to see the crowd of people and not so well managed and lack of cleanliness ruining natural beauty.  Saiful Malook lake is considered as one of the most mesmerizing lake in the world that has left many travelers speechless. No doubt it looks beautiful through a specific lens otherwise you may find such stuff in abundance that is ruining the natural beauty.  Check here for Naran complete post  Things to do in naran. Perhaps one of my favorite lake that was so easily accessible via national highway on way from naran towards babusar pass. I saw its really clean and serene. Lulusar lake view point lies in Dudipatsar national park. It comes right after the famous town named " BESEL" the trekker favorite place. From here mostly trekkers start their "7 Lake trek" from " Mulla ki basti" and after a trekking time around 7-8 hours be arrived at " Dudipatsar Lake" for night camping. Then further towards other 6 lakes and finally end at Rattigali lake at Kashmir. So this place is literally a border way between naran kpk and Kashmir. 

Naran is one of the most popular tourist destination in Pakistan. It is located in upper Kaghan Valley, district Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
