ON MY WAY TO NARAN. FIVE THINGS TO DO IN NARAN.

Naran is one of the most popular tourist destination in Pakistan. It is located in upper Kaghan Valley, district Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This whole route has multiple amazing scenic tourist places including
(1):  Sharan Forest camping and glamping.
(2):  Shogran/ Siripaye
(3):  Naran

In this post I am sharing about my journey to Naran.

                                                       STARTING OUR JOURNEY

Taking our route Via Hazara Expressway, getting an exit from Mansehra toll plaza, we finally arrived at Kaghan Valley ( that has some beautiful places to explore like Picturesque valley of shogran  jeep adventurous ride to siripaye) but this time we were intended to travel towards naran so we kept our travel on towards naran. After passing by Kaghan Valley we finally arrived to Naran. It may further leads to babusar top and ultimately towards Gilgit baltistan and hunza.

Naran Valley is quite picturesque and having meadows like surroundings while you driving through roads. A perfect destination for families to have summer vacations in naran. There are many hotels, resorts, cottages and restaurants. Anybody can choose according to his/her budget.

MAIN PLACES TO STAY IN NARAN

(1) : Main Naran Bazar.
(2): Along Lake saiful Malook Road
(3) : Batakhundi

Batakhundi is another stop , 16 km onwards from Naran bazar. It's a cluster of hotels and a stopover. In naran you will never be scarce of hotels and restaurants. Quite a good availability of every thing in reach. If you won't do an advance booking no worries you may still get an accommodation because there are hotels available in abundance. You may find a lot of hotels on way from kaghan to naran and further to batakhundi.

THINGS TO DO IN NARAN VALLEY

(1): Naran bazar is famous among tourist. Here are some good hotels to stay, explore naran bazar and surroundings.
(2): Lake Saiful Malook. Another tourist attraction is lake saiful malook that majority of people don't miss out. Though a bit bumpy track towards lake through a jeep which I won't recommend to all especially people having back bone issues. It will definitely gives you a hard time.

(3):  Lulusar- Dudipatsar national park. Lulusar lake is situated along roadside on way to babusar top. So no need of any jeep, easily accessible and get photographed. This whole area comes under Dudipatsar national park. It's a great area for trekking as well. Trekkers who love trekking go further 7 to 8 hours trekking to camp at Dudipatsar lake.

(4) : Besel. Besel is another stop and one of the must stayed place on way to babusar top. Here is located a tourist famous restaurant " Moon restaurant" . Near besel mostly trekkers start their trekking in mountains towards dudipatsar lake. It is a starting point for hiking trails to dudipatsar lake and ultimately to rattigali lake in Kashmir. It is considered a 4 to 5 days trek based on 72 km in mountains where you may see 7 lakes and cross two passes. One of the long, tiring and hectic trek yet so rewarding and beautiful.

I know it sounds bit confusing. But it's a fact and very interesting doable trek for anybody who is feeling fit to trek and it's quite possible. It's been called as 7 lakes trek.  That's a trek between Khyber pakhtunkhwa and Kashmire,  starting from besel naran where you have to pass though 7 lakes and 2 passes. The last one is noori pass and then comes area of azad kashmir with the last lake and that is Rattigali lake of kashmir.

(5): Babusar Pass. Last but not the least is the top favorite place of tourist and that is " Babusar Top".

Well here I am sharing a few glimpse to Naran. The green meadows and the scenery surrounding the road is quite irresistible and kind of feast for eyes.
