HIKE TO AYUBIA PIPELINE TRACK AND MOTTO TUNNEL.

Image
It's also known as Dunga Gali pipeline trek, located just 10 min drive from nathiya gali. Over all this forest trail is located in Ayubia National Park, starting from Dunga gali and end at Ayubia or vice versa. You can start from whatever the side. If you want to start from Ayubia then there is a downside hike of 10 minutes near market towards the trail. On left side you will find motto tunnel.  So you can cover both places. Both are so easy and doable for any age group.  HISTORICAL BACKGROUD: Ayubia moto tunnel was made by the Britishers in 1891. There is a water pipeline that runs through the tunnel and it's a part of the longer pipeline track which runs through Ayubia National Park. The stone work is original and the tunnel is lit properly to get inside. This whole track is flat because this area was specifically made to transport water through a pipe to nearby areas. So it's best for walking in nature.  British era tunnel in Ayubia known as "Moto Tunnel"

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Yes it's 100% true. Even I myself try to explore every possibility out there. I heard a lot about Shigar valley, especially the centuries old shigar fort, world's highest cold desert, askole ( the last village before K2) but finally I got chance to explore all these places. If you interested to have a look at the video of shigar valley, Click this link to my video on my youtube channel. Being a lover of history I love visiting museums, forts, castles wherever I go. Shigar fort were also of great attraction for me. Though it's being operated by serena hotels and is using as a museum hotel for night stay. But I preferred to visit a day and explore it's old architecture and the fort.  Forts and castles always attract me for it make me feel disconnected for a while from present and send me somewhere in past.
