"FROM YESTERDAY'S SMILE." A pakistani Village photo.

Aging has a wonderful beauty and we should respect for that. The thing is to see that wisdom and experience comes with it. The life style of old rural women is still tough as they carry the wood logs and sugarcane and other stuff like this because they mostly works and lives in the rural setting. Pakistan is an agricultural country and most of the population lives in rural area. Though their life is simpler in comparison to urban dwellers yet much more difficult though in terms of facilities. The life of rural setting in Pakistan is worth watching. “The afternoon knows what the morning never suspected". Robert Frost

My shopping funda's at Faisalabad city.

Though Faisalabad is considered as one of the biggest cities and the industrial hub in Pakistan but what makes me wonder is that it still didn't get attention that it deserves as compared to other big cities.I often heard about Faisalabad as the "Little Manchester" because of its textile mills and rapid industrial growth but still the shopping is not very economical here. Except for Metro where the prices are very reasonable and better fit for grocery and other home decor etc. Formerly known as Lyallpur , named after Sir Charles James Lyall but later on it changed as Faisalabad on the name of shah faisal of saudi arabia as Faisalabad. Few days back i got a chance to visit certain areas of Faisalabad including the Kohinoor shopping complex, the Metro, the old city bazar, Iqbal stadium and also the latest addition of amusement park named "Sindbad wonderland". Ghanta Ghar "The old Clock Tower" is some how a place situated in a congested city area bazar....

There are lots of traditional design's carpets available in the market. Last day i happen to visit a carpet market situated in "BARA market" Peshawar. Though nomadic and tribal Afghan population constantly traveling from one place to another.Their rugs mostly woven on small portable looms are mainly produced for use in their homes or selling on very small scale. some times these hand woven carpets are too much expensive to purchase for ordinary use.            Usually Afghan carpets are famous but i was surprised to know that non of these carpets are Afghan made. It included Turkish, Iranian, Tajikistan and other such countries with Chinese made in abundance. The shop owner told me the reason that carpet weaving machinery is so expensive and hard to manage in a country like Afghanistan. So mostly the owners would prefer to start their carpet weaving industry in other countries like Turkey, Iran, Pakist...
