GANGA CHOTI MOUNTAIN BAGH, AZAD KASHMIR.

The lush green meadows. It's been called as "Ganga Choti" because people here believe that before partition Hindus used to live here and they named it. It's almost at 2 hours drive from Dhirkot town. The road condition is quite perfect. A beautiful scenic road via sudhan gali leads you to Ganga Peak. Watch a video on my You Tube Channel here.

Access to Ganga Choti : Ganga choti or "Ganga Peak" is easily accessible via two routes.
One is Dhirkot that is easily accessible via Murree expressway at kohala. From Murree lower topa it will take one to one and half hour drive to dhirkot. After a night stopover at dhirkot, it took us 2 hours to drive towards this beautiful location next morning and further an hour or two hours of trekking on the mountain (If you really want to do trekking) or else you can have a good view just right after climbing 10 minutes from the parking area. You will get a nice view of the valley in front of you.

The second one is directly from Islamabad via Khana pull ( Kotli Sattian) then Bagh via Sudhan Gali to Ganga Choti.

This mountain is basically located in the Pir Panjal mountain range, which is one of the largest range in lesser/Lower/Middle Himalaya region, that runs across Indian Himachal Pradesh.

REASON TO VISIT GANGA CHOTI: It is one of the easy trek over the mountain to access from it's basecamp. A well carpeted road leads to it's base camp that makes it a perfect spot for trekking to all those who doesn't want a hectic trek to get a marvelous views. Here you can get perfect panorama and views easily.   If you are in bagh district and around sudhan gali, Azad Kashmir then don't miss out this beauty. Kashmir is overall a beautiful area whether you go to neelum valley or bagh district. Here you may find the FIVE REASONS TO VISIT KASHMIR

A beautiful scenic road, leading towards Ganga Peak's base camp.

These camps are here because locals have open shops here for refreshments. However I saw here some tourists stay as well especially men who comes here for hiking and camping.

When I start trekking I got his view in very beginning.

So I decided to sit here and enjoy the moment.

I be like "Wo rahi Ganga Choti " 😅 That's the Ganga Peak !
