CULTURAL FESTIVAL "LOK MELA" 2020, ISLAMABAD. PART 1

Annually this 10 days long festival is held in Islamabad by "National Institute of folk and traditional heritage", (Lok Virsa) at Shakarparian. It's a kind of  folk festival that's truly depicting the colourful picture of Pakistan's heritage, art and crafts along with folk music and traditional cuisine. Here i shared about the event in two parts. Second half can be clicked here

Visitors welcome this festival every year but this year it's kind of unusual due to pandemic. This year despite of current ongoing second spell of covid 19, still it's management offered the festivities of folk festival from 6th to 15th of november with strictly following SOP's and at the same time they made it possible to promote local traditional items at very reasonable prices. We should definitely appreciate their efforts to manage all and giving people a safe opportunity to enjoy cultural entertainment.

Multani blue Tiles designs on ceramics

Last but not the least my only suggestion is related to some stuff on display that is not of good quality. Some of them really need a proper training to present their fabrics in nice way. There are some really trendy designs and prints that need to be stitched neatly and that will definitely improve their sale of products.
