Amusement park and sports complex in Mardan

Recreational activities are an important part of every day life. Mardan is the second biggest city in north west frontier province after peshawar. There is lack of good parks and play grounds, mostly the kidz use to play in streets. Yet a few steps have been taken by the provincial govt in the recent years to provide some how better environment for kidz in the form of park and sport complex for the young. This sports complex have been inaugurated in July 2008. Here iam gonna share some glimpses of the Mardan sport complex and children park, situated in front of Sheikh Multoon Town in Mardan, where kidz of mardan can get some how safe entertainment with their parents. This sport complex and kids park is good initiative in the provision of recreational facilities. Hope such type of projects would continue in the near future too.

Takht e Bhai, in NWFP PAKISTAN

Takht e Bhai is a village, located about 15km northwest of Mardan city in NWFP, Pakistan. Takht e Bhai is basically a combination of two words thats is " takht' and "bahi" "Takht" means  "Throne" and "Bahi" means "well or spring". So it is called Takht e Bhai in local language. That spring is supposed to be located on the very top of the mountain. Takht e bhai chapli kabab are very famous. In Takht e bhai, the most beautiful Buddhist Monastery of Gandhara Civilization is situated. People do visit from far away to see these remains of the Buddha's Civilization and then to enjoy the traditional Chapli Kabab. Summer is not suitable time to visit this area. One can enjoy much during winters.

Chapli Kabab of north west frontier province of Pakistan is very famous. Though lot of shops all around in the province but some places are more famous like Peshawar, mardan, charsadda and Takht bhai. Today iam gonna share with you Takht Bhai Chapli Kabab, with its very traditional recipe and  original taste. One can definitely try that in home too with little alteration. I am sharing the home made chapli kabab recipe below.  Chapli kabab are being fried in a big pan locally in Takht bhai bazar. KPK. Ready to serve. Local handicrafts in Takht e bhai , Khyber Pukhtunkwa

Jhanday is name of small village, located about 8km from mardan city on the main road, leading towards swat. It's famous locally for the different handicrafts. Mostly the local women make them. These handicrafts represent the great artistic skills of the maker. In the rural areas of mardan, the women strictly observed the pardha and they are not supposed to work in the fields. Women, who are willing to get vocational training such as (weaving, sewing, embroidery, and mirror work, photo frames, pots, hand fans and other decorative things etc) usually  participate in different community development programs, where they learn different types of skills. These skills training enable them to stand on their own feet through self-help. Thus involvement of women in economic activities helps in reduction of poverty on domestic level. Takht e bhai Buddhist remains or ghost town

Buddhist ruins of "Takht e Bhai" are located about 15km north west of Mardan, the second largest city after Peshawar in North West of Pakistan. These remains lies on the top of the hill from the main road leading to swat. This archeological site is one of the famous one among all other Buddhist ruins that have been discovered in Pakistan, and are about 1800ft above the sea level.   UNESCO (United Nation Education Scientific and Cultural Organization) has declared it as world heritage site in 1980. A joint project by UNESCO and the archeological department of the govt. of Pakistan is carrying out on this site. Under this project, the maintenance and repairing work is going on now days.
