SHOPPING IN GRAND BAZAR ISTANBUL

There can be no best therapy than retail therapy for any woman whether it can be done in a fancy shopping mall, bazaars or Souq (local market in middle east). A travel to Turkey is incomplete without visiting grand bazaar. Though fancy shopping malls has own charm but trust me the satisfaction of shopping at small bazaars and souq is far more than doing shopping in big Malls. When you strolled around these bazaars and pick small items and the best one it gives far much pleasure. Though certain times it can be annoying if you have time constraints to do bargains but other times you can get much good stuff at very reasonable prices. When I have enough time then I always choose local bazar.

Turkey Grand bazaar and Souqs in UAE, Morocco, Egypt etc. has a unique experience. I personally visited so far Turkish grand bazar, Souk ul bahar at Dubai Mall and Souq Madinat Jumeriah Dubai.
These Arabian markets have it's own beauty.

Throughout it history Istanbul has becomes great center of trade and commerce. Even today people love to go shopping there. Apart from great Malls, Turkish grand bazaar is very popular place among visitors to do shopping and picking souvenir.

I would prefer "The Grand Bazar" over shopping Malls and no doubt it is a must visit place. I personally loved it but unfortunately due time constraint, it is difficult for first time visitor to explore whole grand bazar. So much was on display only need to explore and take your time to negotiate because these bazaar are not a quick process. One must do bargain, haggling on goods before finally purchased. I wish I were lived here and explore the majestic Grand Bazaar fully 🙆

There is so much to explore in Turkey that if you spend one whole year still cant fully .

  1. Wow! It looks like a beautiful place for shopping. I would have to be careful with all the glass and pottery- but I do love how gorgeous it all looks. I have never been to Istanbul. Thanks for sharing. :)
