UBUD SIGHTSEEING AND SHOPPING TRADITIONAL RATTAN BAGS OF BALI

Ubud (central bali) is the most important stopover for first time visitor because it is considered to be a spiritual hub of bali, a place of balinese art and tradition and a good place for those who like doing yoga. It is also famous for its rice terraces. Some of rice locations are very scenic while others are average. In order to see all these places a private customised tour is must.

Ubud royal palace, saraswati temple also located near ubud market. These places has a truly balinese style architecture. If you are like me who is not after instagrammable locations and spots then do try to explore the culture and the natural beauty of island.

Consider ubud village tour, ubud market, royal palace, saraswati temple, holy spring temple, gunung kawi ,campuhan ridge walk etc are all must to do. Good thing is that most of these places located almos nearby. Easy way to explore all is to hire a local driver and he/she may take you to all these places.

Honestly you didn't go bali until you didn't explore the culture. Lots of arts and crafts especially balinese paintings are available in every market but ubud is famous only because it is the center.

There is already written and shared lot of stuff on internet by other travellers. I am just sharing my personal experience.

To see Ubud market is must because it has lots of arts and crafts especially balinese paintings and my personal favorite rattan bags.  I would say " you didn't go to bali until you didn't buy rattan bag and then to flaunt your bag during whole trip😛 " Though almost every traveller girl was carrying the same so it is a must to do while you are in bali. There is a variety of these bags but the most famous one is round shape. So here are the pictures.
p.s Prices are quite reasonable but only you should be aware of bargain system in bali. These rattan bags are initially made here and you may buy at discount price if you do bargain.  Middle size is always better in round type of rattan bags and they price almost 150 idr to 250 idr depending on designs.
