Travel back in time. Baltit Fort in Hunza Valley

I always get fascinated by old forts and castles and the stories associated with them and Baltit fort is no exception. It has same charm and mystery that's most of the forts have. It's interesting to read and hear the stories of Kings, emperors, queens, prince, princess but to witness such forts and places is such a nice experience for me as i can imagine those olden times grandeur. So here i am going to explore this grandeur of the past now converted into a heritage museum located in main karimabad the capital of hunza valley.

Baltit fort was the residence of Hunza rulers locally called them as "Mir's" and is 700 years old fort influenced by tibetan architecture and colours. Now as it's converted into a museum so it has a guided tour narrating the history of the fort. For more information click wikipedia.
