THE HISTORICAL BLUE MOSQUE OR SULTAN AHMET MOSQUE

I used to wonder why this mosque is always called as blue mosque? Because it doesn't even looks blue however when i walked inside i saw there are blue tiles that's why probably it's known as blue mosque . This beautiful and magnificent mosque is built in 1616 and named after one of the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed.. Istanbul is famous for byzantine, Ottoman architecture and the beautiful mosques and blue mosque is among one of them, adorned with Islamic and Ottoman architecture and pretty hand painted blue tiles. It's six slim minarets make it distinguish from other mosques. Some construction work was undergoing that's why i couldn't take more pictures inside. It was such crowded by tourists made it very inconvenient to take proper pictures.
