PAMUKKALE, THE COTTON CASTLE

PAMUKKALE is an amazing natural place, famous for it's white cotton like minerals rich thermal pools.  That's why it's called as "Cotton Castle" in Turkish. These are fascinating calcium pools with cotton like white appearance. Basically it's carbonate minerals left by the flowing water in this place.
It is one of the most famous natural thermal destinations located in turkey. UNESCO listed PAMUKKALE COTTON CASTLE as a natural wonder.

It's probably the main reason why Pamukkale is one of the most visited destination in Turkey.

I never heard about that only since i am following many travel pages i came to know about that and then luckily i got an opportunity to travel Turkey where i got to see this wonderful place myself. I remember the indian song" tu janne na"  from movie "Ajab prem ki ghazab kahani" filmed here. I wonder in song it look so amazing but my camera and clicks couldn't do justice with this beautiful place. However i have tried few here.

Apart from that, PAMUKKALE town is also famous for an ancient Roman spa city founded here, known as Hierapolis and these ruins also include an antique pool and warm water spring.
