Local handicrafts in Patriata

In Patriata, local handicrafts are available under Punjab small industries corporation. These handicrafts are available at a very reasonable prices.
There were different kinds of local embroidery purses with sequin and lot of shinny and colorful ornamental stuff over there each purse thus were giving a very traditional Pakistani look along with some ready to wear dresses and jewelry stuff. A specific dress materiel known as ( KADAR) in local terms. KADAR ready to wear shirts were available.Typical traditional lengas with traditional embroidery for small girls were hanging. There were beautiful fur coats for kidz.
 Different kinds of jewelry boxes made by shells.

There was a shop of antique jewelery, where different designes of local pots for decorations along with beautiful hangings.
Shwals were hanging on the display on road sides, given colorful look.These shwals are available in almost every stores.

Colourful umbrellas, caps and other stuff for kids were on display after every mile on the road.

Khewra Salt mine in Pakistan is the world's second greatest source of edible salt. " Wieliczka Salt mines" in Poland are suppose to be the world's first greatest salt mines. Here it is supposed to be twenty million and twenty lakh of tons of salt present .Khewra salt mine range started near Jhelum River and finish into Indus River in kala bagh. Shrine of Abdul Qadir Gillani's grand sons in Kallar Kahar

I have always been listening about one of the famous shrine in kallar kahar. Mostly in tv documentary programes i have noticed that Kallar Kahar is famous for three spots. One of them is kallar kahar salt lake, second one is Bagh e Safa or Muhgual Garden and the third one is a famous shrine of Abdul Qadir Gillani's two grand sons. Lof of people do visit here to this shrine. I personally found the area very beautiful, calm and serene. Though there was no rush at the time when i visited the area and i was very happy to get to know this and i really enjoyed the location and the beautiful shrine with its panaromic background that i have captured from its terraces. Rawal Dam.....with a lake in and a Park around, in capital Islamabad " A beautiful combination of water and gardens"

Rawal Dam was constructed in 1962. It is situated in the National Capital Islamabad, Pakistan. Basically it is an artificial reservior of water and is a great source of water supply to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the twin cities of Pakistan. This reservior of water is called Rawal Lake and is spread over an area of 8.8km sqaure. It is suppose to be that "Korang River" along with some small streams coming down from the Margala Hills collect together to form this lake. This lake not only provide water to the twin cities but it also help in irrigation. On both sides of the Rawal Lake two parks have been constructed. Confluence of River Indus and River Kabul:

The place where river Indus and river Kabul mingle together to give a beautiful view, is situated on the border of Punjab and NWFP renaming Khyber Pukhtunkwa. This is the spot, where Attock (Punjab) ends and Khair abad Kund (NWFP renaming Khyber Pukhtunkwa) begins. Khair abad Kund is a small town, where the Peshawar Development Authority has established a beautiful park.  Attock fort can be seen from the bridge over the Kabul and Indus rivers. River Kabul and river Indus have two distinct colors of water. Pakistan Monument Museum in Islamabad is a must visit place, that is situated in front of Pakistan Monument. Here one can get the whole info. related to Pakistan since the independence. Though Photography is forbidden inside the museum thats why i cant display more pictures except the following one. Its a beautiful museum and i really liked its theme that revolving mainly around the historical struggle for freedom, the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and the Vision of national poet Illama Iqbal. It is based on a very patriotic theme that have inspired me very much. Every feature of the museum here looks perfect. Chapli Kabab of north west frontier province of Pakistan is very famous. Though lot of shops all around in the province but some places are more famous like Peshawar, mardan, charsadda and Takht bhai.
